6 Things #66: November
Howdy friends, how's it going? I’m here with a fresh dose of 6 things that've been happening/keeping my heart happy in the past month. If you’re new here, hello! Welcome to my newsletter ❤️ Thanks so much for being here and spending a few moments of your month with me. Let’s get crackin’, shall we?
Ohhhh my days, I did not see this November coming!! If you’d have told me this time last month that my daily life would be like it is now, I’d laugh (and maybe cry with joy) in genuine disbelief 😂 It feels like Joe and I have been in quarantine the last few weeks, fuelled by movies, hot chocolates, trash TV, cheese boards and savouring every single minute we get out of the house. Here are my highlights:
1. 🐶 Becoming puppy parents!!
As you may have seen on socials, Joe and I have bought a puppy!!! 😭❤️ He’s a sprocker spaniel and the CUTEST thing we’ve ever laid our eyes on. It feels like our daily lives have been pulled apart and put back together in a totally different way, and (despite the bruised and bitten state my ankles have been 😂) I honestly wouldn’t change it. It’s been a wild month of adjustment, tears, many trips to Pets at Home, embracing our new roles as puppy parents and celebrating every 👏 single 👏 win 👏 we get. We love him, he’s ace and part of us still can’t believe he’s ours. Friends, meet Bruno 🥹
2. 📺 Squid Game: The Challenge (Season 2)
Squid Game: The Challenge is no stranger to 6 Things, but Season 2 dropped last month and (in my opinion) it’s EVEN better than the first one. While it’s obviously very cool to see contestants play games from Squid Game Season 3, it feels like they’ve really upped their game from a writing standpoint and challenges in the dorm. If, like us, you love watching light, binge-worthy TV whilst you’re having tea, this is the perfect watch. A big recommendation from me!
3. 📺 The Celebrity Traitors
Speaking of binge-worthy TV, The Celebrity Traitors!!! Fun fact, after a long day driving back from Bristol (from the final tour show in October) Joe and I watched an episode of this and enjoyed it WAY more than we thought we would 😂 The line-up of celebs are stellar (you can tell it’s Season 1) and, even though the premise and gameplay is exactly the same as previous seasons, it makes the game even more entertaining when celebs are cloaked up, fighting for the cash. If you’re looking for an easy evening watch, I HIGHLY recommend it.
4. 📽️🍿 One Battle After Another
A new film that I thoroughly enjoyed! The score/musical direction throughout is exquisite (in moments giving BOTW mid-canter, IYKYK!!) and the cinematography is *chef’s kiss*. If you’re a fan of action movies, Leonardo DiCaprio and a storyline centred around rebellion, family and returning arch enemies(!!), One Battle After Another one for you. I was hooked for the entire film. A mint watch!
5. 💿 before close - hilda
Something I’m super proud of came out last month 🥹 Earlier this year, Joe and I recorded some new music at a little off-grid hut in Alnmouth - a super-basic recording set-up, completely on battery power, with the Northumberland coast as our view. Our first collection of songs hilda, named after the hut we stayed in, is out now. We’re so, so proud of this project and super excited to see where it takes us next.

6. 🖼️ Rich Wells
An artist I’ve been LOVING via Instagram lately. Rich Wells makes truly beautiful, moving, digital collages that feel like stepping into a memory. I’ve been making a conscious shift to follow more artists across different disciplines recently and, when the algorithm fed me one of Rich’s videos speaking about his practice (linked below!), I was completely in awe of his work. I highly recommend checking out his Insta, it’s a dose of joy to your feed every single time it pops up.

The trajectory you are heading in is being done in a way that convinces me that 2026 is going to be such a big year for you. The We Can Talk EP (Sunday is just ‘other worldly’!)
